Dr. Ahmet Demircan was born on 13 July 1954 in Samsun, Turkey.
Dr. Demircan got his M.D. degree and also completed his specialty training in the field of General Surgery at Erzurum Atatürk University School of Medicine.
He was elected as a Member of Parliament from Samsun for the 20th and 21st Parliamentary Terms, before that he practiced as a General Surgeon in Samsun, Muş and Bafra cities.
During the 21st Parliamentary Term, he served as a Member of the Committee of Health, Family, Labor and Social Affairs, and the Committee of National Defense.
Dr. Ahmet Demircan also served as Minister of State under the 54th government.
He was appointed as the Minister of Health on 19 July 2017.
He speaks English and Arabic. He is married and has 6 children.
